I had a similar thing happen once from intense repeated movement.
I ended up seeing a physiotherapist for hand exercises.
The idea was to keep the ligaments trained for movement.
But I also watch now for how I use my hands.
And those damn trigger sprays are a terrible strain on the hand.... If possible - loosen the lid, squeeze the bottle, and get the liquid to soak into a cloth - then use.
This also stops overspray and breathing it in.
