I Have Insomnia

Ever since I retired getting to sleep has been a problem but ( it works for me at least) I discovered Tibetan bowls. I found on YouTube a video of slow deep toned chimes from a single bowl that lasts for about an hour. It helps avoid the annoying little thoughts that pop up and push sleep away. I listen to it on my tablet, turn 'autoplay' off to avoid the next video and when it's finished the tablet goes into 'sleep mode' and me too. I have never heard more than 20 mins at most. I have tried many of the hypnosis videos, some of them worked but the bowl, and especially the deep toned one is what has worked best for me. Hope this can be of use to someone.

My mother goes to sleep to the sound of trains chugging on the tracks on her tablet. It's her favorite.

@goagainsttheflow When I was a child I fell asleep listening to trains passing through my small hometown, dreaming someday I would go somewhere too. Sometimes even here in a big city I hear trains at night and find it comforting.

That's a great idea! I like to look at "kittens falling asleep" videos on YouTube. Knocks me right out!
