I Have Insomnia

Blankie<3... I have bad insomnia and I sleep with my blankie and suck my thumb... I'm trying to stop sucking my thumb and I'm also trying to get blankie out of bed. However, when I try this, I can't sleep at all... Like, it's worse than normal... On a normal night, I might get 4 hours of sleep, but with trying to break these habits, I'm lucky to get 2 hours of sleep... Help!

I don't know that you need a mental doctor...that is a bit rude to be honest. I think you need to talk about this with your regular doc. There are many things that can be done to help you get the sleep you need sweetie.
The sooner you do the better. Don't be ashamed there are many causes of insomnia and once they fix it. You may find you don't need the thumb or blanket any more.

I'm on meds and they do help, now I sleep about 6 hours, but I still need blankie and my thumb.... Thanks<3

All in due time my dear. There is no clock running on that. I sleep with the cat snuggled up against me who is to say that is any different

I am in my 30's and I still sleep with a teddy bear or my blanket when my husband is not home.

If I was you I wouldn't worry about sleeping with a blanket. And if your teeth are not affected by sucking your thumb when you sleep, then who really cares.

Some day you may out grow the need to have your blanket with you when you sleep. Or you may eventually end up replacing it with a significant other :-)

I have a Winnie-the-Pooh baby blanket >< ...it looks more like a rag kinda tho xD I taken it on me on trips of course and overseas when it was safe ands I like to tuck it under my chin kinda like a scarf....dunno why maybe cuz it be impossible to cover my entire body these days anyways...but o well, it's mine and I sill like it!^^

My cats like to play with it too...which kinda contributes to its rag like appearance. Well that and a few times other people washed it and it got tangled becuz they not used a mesh washing bag...*fallsdown*
