I Was A Christian

As a child I was a christian. Then I grew up and saw sense.

It's amazing how ridiculous the whole Christian story sounds when eventually looking at it from the outside...

@Sharon: The ones that are indoctrinated as kids, and have grown up with it have an excuse, but the new converts must be sadly lacking in some vital area... :/

@walabby: Even those that were indoctrinated as children should have seen through it as they got older and, hopefully, wiser. They tend to lose their beliefs in other entities like Santa Claus etc.

@Sharon: True. The sense of smug self righteousness is a very addictive drug, though...

I was brought up a Christian by my mother. My father, who was an atheist, would have nothing to do with it. Aged about 13, I went on a Boy Scout camp. It rained solidly for two days. When I got home, I resigned from the Boy Scouts and became an atheist myself. 😊

I was raised in a Christian home and always attended church with my parents but I never really fit in with or identified with Christians

Sense which sense?

@suzie1960: but does life now make sense?
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@Patricia12: Yes. I believe in reality.

@suzie1960: but life has no sense. Even if you believe in the reality
