Restless..

Grasping with hunger
They pull and they tug
A risk I prepared for but not quite enough
Left alone when it's all done
Settling softly just like dust
Lying so still in the morning sun
Aching with pain, not daring to move
Starring out the window is all that I do
Earth so green and vibrant to me
Calling me sweetly, I wish I could be
Slow and steady, I focus to breathe
Realizing harsh realities
Closing my eyes, my mind escapes
Fading so quickly, losing myself
Accepting the hand that I have been dealt
