I Write Poetry
I reminisce on remembering memories,
that my heart can no longer recognize,
an ill-fitting smile and happiness,
long lost overdue to be eulogized,
yet still I hold out hope to recall,
the past firelight now just dying ember,
so I sit and tear myself apart,
trying to remind myself what it is to remember.
that my heart can no longer recognize,
an ill-fitting smile and happiness,
long lost overdue to be eulogized,
yet still I hold out hope to recall,
the past firelight now just dying ember,
so I sit and tear myself apart,
trying to remind myself what it is to remember.
