I Write Poetry
Or Is It Just A Snowstorm?
Winter fairies fill the air
Icicle castles everywhere
With snowflakes capping raven hair
They dance and twirl right in midair
They beat ice wings to dance all day
A shining crystal white ballet
They spin and whirl there on display
They live each moment, day to day
They dance as singles or duets
They whirl as if they've no regrets
From early morns right to sunsets
All day it's icy pirouettes
I've seen them there outside my glass
Spinning, twirling with such sass
Though others might try to harass
I smile and welcome their trespass
For winter fairies bring such fun
Each dance screams out all or none
And when the dance is finally done
A wink, a grin, gone with the sun.
