Only in My Dreams


Thoughts of you fill my head
Each morning, noon, and night
You join me when the alarm rings
You're there when I turn out the light

I wonder how you're feeling
Each morning as I rise
I wonder what it feels like
To wake and see your eyes

As I drive to work each morn
You join me on the ride
I sing love songs to you, love
I can feel you by my side

When I work, I just can't stop
My thoughts still drift to you
I wonder how your day has gone
And if you're happy too

Each evening as I sit alone
A phone call fills the void
I smile to hear your lovely voice
I'm close to overjoyed

Then as I turn out the lights
And lay beneath moonbeams
I think of you beside me
So you'll join me in my dreams
