I've played this scene 1000 times before
Snow kissing both our faces
Your hands stay warm, buried in my pockets
Standing together all alone

I've written these words 1000 times before
Of an endless war I'd wage
Wrote you sonnets by the light of a tv screen
About whisking you away.

I've clenched my fist 1000 times before
In hopes to grasp your hand
Laughing hard at silly little animals
Thinking this is the life.

I've felt this pain 1000 times before
Left alone with memories
I hope that he knows exactly what he's got
I hope he makes you happy.

Give up that night.
Give up the words.
Give up your hand.
Give up you
