I Write Poetry
Shadows stretch, across the land,
As the light, slowly fades,
Night is growing darker,
Black as the ace of spades,
A painting hangs, upon the sky,
Of pastel clouds, and rainbow hues,
Of deep blood reds, and golden rays,
Starlight glimmers, and navy blues,
Upon the earth, and in the air,
Mirrored water, glows like fire,
Wandering, within the wilds,
Through the brambles, and the briar,
A gift given nightly, from heaven,
Accepted if taken the time,
A picture perfect sunset,
Though cliche, its beauty divine,
As the light, slowly fades,
Night is growing darker,
Black as the ace of spades,
A painting hangs, upon the sky,
Of pastel clouds, and rainbow hues,
Of deep blood reds, and golden rays,
Starlight glimmers, and navy blues,
Upon the earth, and in the air,
Mirrored water, glows like fire,
Wandering, within the wilds,
Through the brambles, and the briar,
A gift given nightly, from heaven,
Accepted if taken the time,
A picture perfect sunset,
Though cliche, its beauty divine,
