I found some apartments that are about 5 mins away from where I work. They offer one and two bedroom options. Online they look really nice inside- nothing you'd call "luxury", but they look spotless, freshly painted, and updated. That's all I ask. Plus they allow pets and there is a pool. We drove by the building before work one day and they look really nice in person on the outside (we didn't go inside).

Right now my fiance and I drive about 40 minutes every day to get to work and 40 back home again. We [i]hate[/i] it. I have no idea how people can be happy living way the hell out in the country like this. 😩 Having a 5 minute drive to work would literally be life changing. Plus there is a grocery store, an outlet mall, and a few eateries near the place as well.

I would honestly go ahead and apply for an apartment there right now if I could, but there is talk at work about a possible temporary shutdown (because of Covid) that could last a month or more....and I certainly don't want to risk moving into a new place only to be without a paycheck for a month. 🤦🏻‍♀️ So for now we're waiting, saving, and just making plans.
