I Am Always Improving Myself

If you knew that in one year you would die suddenly, would you change anything about the way you are now living?
CarleighJ · 36-40, F
No absolutely not. Who I am is defined by where I have been. I dont like a lot of things in my past but it is what has made me the person I am today and proud or that knowing I give my all each day.

@CarleighJ I agree with you, but my question was rather about the present and the future. We would probably try to fix some relationships or improve some areas of our lives if we knew that we will die soon. It's a psychological reaction.

I have an incurable cancer, irreversible respiratory disease, heart disease, heart defects an arrhythmia, history of heart attacks, stroke, sezuires among some other conditions that are less fatal to have when managed.

I have been close to death many time over the course of my life so far. Some by the hands of others and some by my health alone. Though even with all that I have yet to feel the psychological reaction to want a do over or to have a fresh start with the time I have however short or long it may end up being.

Though I suppose it is the way I view the world, life and have lived my past and present and how I live each day that I wake up. The way I see the gift of life we are given and in all categories of time is how it is ment to be. Everything we do is fated by our own actions and the actions of others if we change that it causes a ripple effect.

How I see life, we are not guaranteed the same amount of time to live ours. We all pass away from something. We never know when exactly but some may have a heads up on how and rough approximation. Though with that we should live in the moment and strive to treat others kindly everyday and that is how I have always lived my life.

Others may not have aways treated someone in there life or someone they dont know kindly and caused them suffering. I have also though I do not regret it or wish to change it. Why. That is fated as well and shape that person into who they are suppose to be and who they will become inspite of it.

There is a quote I learned very early in life and it has been a large part of why I live and lived each day of my life as I have. Who knows maybe it will become a part of someone else's life as it has mine.

I'd make it a point to create as many good memories with others as possible.
