The 2nd movement of John Adams' symphony Naive and Sentimental Music "Mother of the Man" is quite sentimental, but in a good way, the 1st and last movements are machinelike exhilerating stuff, akin to Shostakovich's mounting artillery of symphonic sound in his 7th symphony movement one, but here in this middle movement Mr. Adams treats the listener to a reflective stroll, ain't it nice and well, moving?? .....:)
