I Ramble

As someone who doesn't have English as neither first nor second language, I often find myself getting equally pissed when someone judges my occasionally crappy English and when someone compliments it.

It's just like, "wow idiot, your English sucks" excuse me? How many languages do you speak? English isn't even my second language, and you call me an idiot just because I misspell or write awful grammar when tired? Come at me in a different language broski, and we'll see who the real idiot is

or, "wow, your English is so good!" Woooow thanks, it's not like we learn it in grade school or anything! Also almost every single popular media is in English, we get like non-stop exposure to it through music and TV! We literally grow up with that shit.

So that's confusing. I get lowkey pissed either way, even though they're sorta opposites.
