I Love Weird Facts

In Europe, the longest town name is Llanfair-pwllgwyngyll-gogery-chwyrn-drobwll-llan-tysilio-gogo-goch, which is located in Wales.
I like that! I love weird facts, too.

I can join in this game; which town in the UK has a name where one of the characters is not a letter?

@GeniUs there are several towns that have hyphens as characters, don't they count ? Westward Ho! is the only one with an exclamation mark though.

I used to live in Ashton-under-Lyne and a lot of my mail went to a nearby town called Ashton so I always emphasised that it was Ashton-under-Lyne. I got quite a lot of stuff with the word Ashton underlined @GeniUs

Ok here's another (sorry to anybody outside the UK some of this is pretty specific), which city is not typically known by it's name but the river it is based on?
