I Am A Real Werewolf

How to Be a Werewolf

Step 1: Recognize that there is something about yourself you are not fully aware of. Listen to your dreams.

Step 2: Confront that “part” of yourself, regardless of how frightening it may seem. Face your fears and try to see them in a different light.

Step 3: Stop thinking of yourself as two parts, one human and one wolf, and start thinking of yourself as one whole: a werewolf.

Step 4: Accept that you are who and what you are. You are not a monster unless you want to be. You will be disbelieved. You may be hated. However, if you are secure within yourself and if you accept that being different does not make you “bad” or “wrong”, then you can let such hatred and disbelief pass by you without a care.

Step 5: Keep a low profile. Attracting too much attention, especially without an alias to avoid identification, can be dangerous. Do not be too quick to trust anyone who gives you information or advice.

Step 6: Do not hate humans. Recognize that your anger towards humanity stems both from your anger and confusion surrounding the difficulty of being what you are as well as your fear of being different, of having to live as you are, and of persecution.

Step 7: Do what you want in life. You can conform enough to human society to live within it, or seek to escape it. Regardless of what decision you make, do what you feel is right and never try to be someone or something you are not.

how about hating human race for having watered down ones bloodline enough to block shifts? that would be a good reason. after all, if there were no humans, they couldnt have washed out the bloodline; and yea before you say this, if there was no humans, there couldnt be any werewolves, as they ARE partly infected with human dna (at least they have to be if you think logically, body setups even partial is determined by dna) or else they coudlnt even "mimic" that shape of man realistically;I may sound quite negative, but when you were stuffed in the body of a human and cant shift and so literally hate every day of your body/existence/life and the universe for being born that way there, to endure it for more than 2 fucked decades and being teased by dreams that do allow you to shift sometimes, only to have you wake and know you CANT physically (and hells I tried).... you too would be pissed off;

I will not say that werewolves would not exist without humans. Perhaps another species would have risen to the same position or werewolves would have developed separately. That is irrelevant though. I said that precisely because of the things you are saying. You are very obviously showing frustration about your inability to shift and, because you do not know how to confront that problem or deal with it calmly, you blame humanity in general. Because you cannot look inward unto yourself, you place the blame on billions of people, most of which you do not know and most likely will never meet. Do not assume that you are the only one who has ever had to go through what you speak of. You and I are in the same position, but instead of complaining about it, I do what I can do: help others get to the same place that I am in. Being able to shift is not as important as accepting and understanding yourself. An insecure, transforming werewolf is just asking for trouble. But know that you are not the sole victim of that torment. So many others have gone through the same thing. I had the dreams and nightmares too, but I got through that. Accepting myself and realizing that my anger was just my way of not facing reality made me stronger, and the dreams went away. Do you know how many ignorant and lost children come on places like this with an unfounded hate for humanity? You can sit here and tell me every reason why it is "right" to hate people, but you cannot justify to me the same kind of insensitive and genocidal thinking that got us killed in the past. Grouping humans together and demonizing them is the same shit that was done to us. Do you want to be that kind of person? Humanity may not be perfect, but the moment you start grouping people together, you risk justifying the murder of innocents. You place a hunter in the same category as a suburban family or a home full of senior citizens when you say that you hate "humans". I can assure you, I am "pissed off" at times, but what angers me more than the confusion and difficulty of living a life that I did not choose is having to deal with ignorance and stupidity surrounding the subject of werewolves. However, as I have proven throughout my time here, I can still maintain some level of composure and be respectful even to those that argue with or insult me. So, if you want to complain about how you cannot shift and how humans are collectively responsible, then do it elsewhere because I have no tolerance for it. Otherwise, feel free to say what you like as long as you ask yourself beforehand whether you are legitimately trying to contribute to a conversation or just pretending to be angry as a cover for your inner fear of not understanding yourself. I hope that this has been fairly clear, and that you will consider my words before you continue to state what every true wolf here already knows and, for some, have already gone through.

Im not sure if youre real.. hell Im not even sure im not merely insane... but for a weird reason I know that I hate mankind FOR being locked in it. if that wasnt so (and so if there wasnt a human on earth, then I couldnt be locked up in a human shell as is cuz if they dont exist, that wouldnt possible) I wouldnt have reason to do that. and dont try to patronise me. Im so tired of life I dont even want to argue about anything. just waiting for the day I dont wake up, thats all.

least I must say youre one who is almost too smart for EP.. which I think is a good thing there. by now I dont have faith in anything including myself.. so.. no fear... I stopped searching or trying and wait for the reaper, as any good "human born" is destined to do.. I guess ..

This makes it sound like lycanthropy is a spiritual thing and a matter of choice. It's a step away from lycanthropy being achieved through meditation. The mental aspect of being a werewolf is a secondary characteristic.

Nowhere do I indicate that this is a choice or something purely spiritual. I am not even sure where you get spiritual from. This is primarily psychological. Why? Because the one thing no one ever talks about are the stresses and conflicts that come with being a wolf. I agree that psychology is not the most important identifier of werewolves, but it is the most important part of living as one. Security and acceptance are the difference between living a somewhat normal life and being clinically insane. This is more of a musing than anything else, but I do feel that the psychological process of being a wolf is almost never mentioned. The transformation is not the only aspect of being a werewolf, but it is treated that way.

It was not so much humor as it was telling the truth in a somewhat smartass way.

Thank you for that. Hopefully it makes a difference. I did not have this sort of advice when I was younger.

None is necessary. I felt it was needed.
