We’re hearing a lot of this now. Trump saying that the tearing down of statues is erasing our history. I feel like he’s missing the point. It’s a more honest look at our history from more points of view that makes people want them down. I can’t say those statues mean anything to me - stay or go, my life is unchanged - and really, I think as with anything, it gets taken too far. No man or woman is perfect and all have done some good for some and bad for others. Men could tear down a statue of Susan B Anthony because their wives aren’t home to cook their dinner. While some of this I can understand, some of it is just someone wanting to be on TV, so it starts to become pointless. But no one is looking to erase history. They just want the whole story told.

@JustNik This thing with the statues is pretty symbolic to me. I see a bunch of people who do not accept the past was what it was, and want to destroy it, but they do not have any positive idea that may be the foundation of a nee here. They are like a kid hitting the tv set because his favourite cartoon died.
