I Like a Good Quote

You have two choices for dinner tonight. Take it or leave it.
-something my mother used to tell me whenever I complained about what she cooked for dinner.

My Mum had a different policy, like Penny's Mum, I had to eat everything on the plate. I f I didn't like something, my Mum would always let me sit at the table until I did like it and ate it. If I still didn't want it I could go to bed and revise be taste buds while I was sleeping, 'cos in the morning it would be warmed up for breakfast. Unlike Penny though, today I eat almost anything, if its edible, I will eat it.

I always had to eat everything that I put on my plate or I got it for breakfast the next morning. It was only when I already knew I didn't like what she cooked and wanted something else that she told me to take it or leave it. Today I still eat everything I put on my plate.

Ha ha. Back when I was a child, we had to eat whatever was on our plate, even if we didn't like it. When my children were small, I'd not make them eat anything they didn't like. Strangely, I am a fussier eater than them ;o)
