I Have a Brother
I have a little brother. He's two years younger than me. He's my only sibling. His name is Miguel but he wasn't always an angel. He had lots of energy. Every night he ran from on side of the house to the other side and bounced off the walls.
One time I couldn't find my doll house. My brother was pushing his toy fire truck across the room while he was making the noise of a siren. He was going outside with the truck and my dad asked him where he was going. He said my doll house was on fire. He snuck my doll house and a box of matches out of the house and lit my doll house on fire. My dad put out the fire but some of my dolls didn't survive. My parents yelled at my little brother for playing with fire but dad didn't seem very angry that he destroyed my doll house.
Nine years later Miguel was 17 years old. He just got his driver's license so he wanted to borrow my dad's new pickup truck. It's a rite of passage for a teenage boy to wreck his parent's car or truck and Miguel didn't miss that rite of passage. Dad's new truck still had less than 1000 km on its odometer when my brother drove it for the last time. He never told our dad exactly how he tore the rear axle off of the truck.
He's 27 now and he has a job. He's a hotel manager. It's an hourly rate motel which matches his personality. He never leaves the club alone or with the same woman. I suspect I may have nieces and nephews I'll never know about.
