Come to the Ice Cream Planet with me
It’s only a giant snow cone rocket ship ride away
We’ll land in fields of shimmering, colored sugar
And watch the eternal sherbet rain
From the churning rainbow clouds above
Where snow angels mix milk and fruit together
In the bowl-shaped heads of floating snowmen
We’ll catch the sherbet on our tongues
Every flavor, one by one
All flavors known, and some not known
New flavors, born of magic berries
We’ll follow a canal
Through which some of the sherbet flows
Into the distant chocolate mountains
Where sour-faced dwarves and sweet-faced fairies
Turn the sherbet into ice cream
And send it on its merry way
In rivers, one for each flavor,
That flow and drip and run
Across the entire Ice Cream Planet
From the North Pole where Santa Claus dreams
To the South Pole where the Snow Queen reigns
We’ll sail the rivers on ice cream sandwiches
Over frothing waterfalls and down
Past whirlpools where mermaids mix new flavors
Through the Archipelagoes of Fudge
Where brownies dine on candy bars
Past Banana Split Island
Where macaques with silver spoons feast
Through Popsicle Forest
Where giant gummi bears eat frozen treats all day
And then down Root Beer Float Rapids
A whitewater, invigorating rollercoaster ride
To the Neopolitan Confluence
Where all the rivers of the Ice Cream Planet converge
And every flavor of ice cream ever known
Blends together to form the Ambrosia Sundae
A towering treat
The dessert of the gods
And there we’ll dine in a floating ice cream parlor
That sails like an ark through the frosty skies
And when the day is done, we’ll fly back to earth
In a lightspeed drumstick rocket ship
