I Am Smart Enough to Know I Don't Know It All

I have no problem admitting I don't know about something if I really don't. How else can I learn? I don't get people who have to pretend they know everything about everything. I think it's an insecurity issue they should face.

For a lot of people, it's not pretending.
They actually BELIEVE they know everything about everything, even if they don't.

Smiles - I understand. Look the fact is you're really hot. Their are few women as sexy as you are. The reason I explained Waist-to-Hip ratio and the other things in that long conversation we had is so that you'd understand that you have a rare combination of traits that people are predisposed to recognize. Most people don't know how to handle someone as overtly sexy as that. It' not you. There is nothing wrong with you.

Smiles - I know that. They are your family and they are not thinking of you in a sexual way. But your figure has many of the physical characteristics that display overt sexiness. Even thought your family does not think of you in terms of sex, they recognize the sexual signals. That makes people nervous and it comes out in inappropriate ways. I've seen it before.

Some people are oblivious to their own limits, and don't realize their own limitations, simply because of arrogance. People with insecurities are often the type of people who are most aware of their own limits, even too much. Lack of self confidence makes them more unlikely to take the lead.

Bighappysmiles- This is totally off topic but I just wanted to stop by real quick and say I really like your username. It's amazing, and it's adorable, and it made me smile😊 Thank you so much for being you love. Have a wonderful day!💐

Smiles - it also seems you are not getting enough emotional support. People are often uncomfortable discussing such things. Just remember, you are OK.
SoggedNapped · 31-35, M
IT's a great thing though, to know that you don't have all knowledge. It keeps you humble and curious!
I am an independent thinker and have a hard time taking unsolicited advice too.

It is insecurity that drives this. You are right. I run into this in my business.
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
Smiles you are going to be OK. Things have a way of working out.
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
Smiles, I understand. While I am not discounting the issues you face, the two women I told you about were much, much larger than you. I realize that does not minimize your issues. But I tell you that as a matter of perspective. My good friend is your size, about 5'3" and petite. The other woman was 5"4" and had an average build at best. It was impossible to put your arms around her.

I know i don't know it all and have never pretended i do
bighappysmiles · 26-30, F
No you're not bothering me of course. Every time I see my family I end up self concious after the way they look at me. I'm just overly sensitive to it. My cousin emailed me this morning and told me my chest was a topic of conversation in the car on the way home. I knew people were talking about it quietly because I'm the elephant in the room.
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
Although Lucy is also right.

Smiles, I was going to wait for PM's to be available, but I have a similar story about myself. I want to cheer you up, so I'll tell it to you if you'd like. We seem to be the only two on this thread right now, so I'll give it a shot. It's a little embarrassing.

I don't think you can make it bigger. We'll have to wait for photo albums, PM's or you could email it to me. Only if you have an anonymous email account.
bighappysmiles · 26-30, F
Horace my family wasn't looking at me and thinking I'm really hot. They're thinking OMG she's bigger every time we see her.
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
The know-it-all syndrome is also often associated with judgmental people. As Dolimyte said, people really don't know everything.
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
Smiles, if it were up to me, I would not change one thing about you. And your new profile picture almost gave me a heart attack!
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
Smiles - if I am bothering you, I'll leave you alone today. You're still my favorite SW person.
Dolimyte · 41-45, M
No one knows everything. The more you know, the more you know that you dont know. You know what i mean?
bighappysmiles · 26-30, F
I'm fine. Had a great Saturday, not so great yesterday. Today nothing special. Life as usual, ups and downs.
bighappysmiles · 26-30, F
But I think it makes you and others understand what I'm talking about.
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
Damn girl! I wish I could see a bigger picture than this thumbnail. Holy Smoke Show!
bighappysmiles · 26-30, F
I'm actually trying to make it bigger but with not much luck
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
If you don't mind me asking, what happened yesterday?
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
BTW Smiles, did you just take that picture?
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
Thanks for posting it. You have a lot of guts.
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
Smiles - you seem down today. Are you OK?
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
