When your heart is undefended, when you bear the unbearable, the moment you accept what troubles you've been given, something within you dies. Ego breaks open, then you see who really you are.
That's what [b]losing [/b]does. It's what fierce grace takes away.
Ego gone. Nothing to lose. This is the real me. Behind the best of me or the worst of me, behind the ego struggling to survive - is my soul.
It's telling me, "It's okay. Everything's okay. There are no answers. You don't have to ask WHY. There's only the trust that you are given what you are given for a good reason.
The lessons of grief (any kind of darkness), like music, or medicine, or art, or parenting, or marriage, must be lived to be fully understood."
