I Express Myself Through Writing

Music drives me to a place where tears of pain, smiles of joy ,and words of inspiration can come to me with every different beat.

You can’t really understand the connection unless you feel in deep inside your heart. The best of a drum solo, a kick ass electric guitar ripping out cords, the beautiful sounds of a piano, a saxophone solo that makes you remember the turning of a page, and a lead singer giving out every ounce of energy he has to a crowd that begs for more.

Listen to it with not only your ears but an open mind that’s allows different genres to fill your soul. Rather it’s the classic of a great 70s rock song. An old country classics that makes you think of swinging barroom doors and whiskey filled heartbreak. An amazing grace holy song. The sweet blues of Memphis. Hip hop songs about struggle of inner city life. Modern day country or the new sounds of Hick Hop rap. Heavy metal rock that really moves you .

Whatever it might be, if it’s your all time favorite then I can bet that you will always remember where you were the first time your ears heard it. If you were lucky enough to hear it live, that will be a moment in your memory that you should hold on to forever.

It brings smiles to our faces and also at times tears to our eyes. Moves you in every direction and you will find yourself singing it at all different times in your life.
For the ones who write it , the man or woman on stage that sing it for us. That mistress named music takes over their life and they gives you the gift that comes from their dedication.

I’m was lucky to have been giving words to live by at a young age. Taken those words with me into adulthood and even inscribed the onto my body forever. I’ve sometimes written words down myself and maybe I can get those words turned into something with a beat. Rather that happens or not , it’s the saying given to me by a woman who grew up in what I believe was the greatest era of music and gave birth to a boy who is proud to have been a 70s child.

Those words that I live by were giving to me by my mom and are I’ve said them many times before.....

Never Stop Listening To The Music.
