I Lack a Sense of Family With My Family
So, my step-daughter-in-law....
My stepson got married last year. His wife has two sons from previous relationships. The boys are great, wonderful kids.
Karen, though....
She recently did something that is really pretty typical of her. This one stood out, but this is the sort of thing she does.
Karen posted a long post on Facebook in which she detailed how she took the boys to the doctor because they were sick, and both had ear infections, and she stayed up late nursing them even though she has to be at work at 3 a.m. Basically, the tone of her post was, "Aren't I a wonderful person deserving praise because I took care of my kids?"
This is basically her attitude about everything. "Look at me! Praise me for doing this thing that everyone else in my position would just expect to do as part of a normal life!"
I just find her attitude kind of irritating.
