I Love to Learn

Today I learned from a TV documentary that was filmed before the Coronavirus that men in films in Iran aren't allowed to hug women actresses, for example someone who is playing their mother in a film. It's segregation of the sexes. So they have to find other ways to convey the emotion.

@Mikaloviche I've heard of this in places like the Middle East. I'd never heard about it in the context of a film before - suppose you can't have one rule for one and one rule for another but still...

I room mated with two brothers and their cousin from Iran for two years. Their country's customs are extremely conservative, I wouldn't doubt it.
