Well of course he would say that regardless. A lame duck President has a lot less influence. And maybe he does expect it. At this stage of the game nothing should be taken for granted either way.

IF you actually heard his talk on this, you would know that he said that "... nothing is definite." So it's still a maybe "...we will see". He said that several ways.

It won't happen - but of course the President,when asked,has to say that.
