I Have Something to Say

[image deleted]Romans 3:23-24
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Psalm 14:1
The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”

Romans 10:9-10
because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

I could say I was a follower of Jesus and write a letter about it. Would that become a chapter in the Bible? No. then Why should you quote from other peoples letters... THINK!!!

@Lincoln98 I've actually read the bible, which is more than most christians can say. My post was just a typical christian's ignorant interpretation of it.
@ScabbyHeart You didn't say who this reply was directed to.
@Lincoln98 I sure hope Susie isn't quoting me, because I've never stated or claimed that. If so, she needs to show the proof.
A lot of intelligent, highly educated people don't believe in god. Believing mythical creatures are real is the action of a fool.
@Lincoln98 You mean the veil of arrogance, and you've just proved that.

@LadyGrace Very true. Christians can be the personification of arrogance but I'm surprised at you admitting that. What's happened, have you dismounted from your high horse?
@Lincoln98 So now you're calling people ignorant. Plus, you tell people to read the Bible, if they want the real true facts. Yet you do not have the true facts. Your explanation of where we got the written Word was totally flawed and a wrong teaching. The Bible was NOT given to us by "eye witnesses of Jesus". You were totally off track. You need to stop right now. I don't care what you think of me or how you talk about me but when you come to twisting God's word, that's just wrong.

Read God's Word for yourself and stop listening to false teachers, is what God tells us to do. He sets the standard, not us. Our teachings must match up to His Words, or they are wrong.

A perfect God did not hand down his precious Word, with holes/flaws in it. It is the interpretation of it by sinful man, that concludes there are contradictions in it. God didn't entrust the transcribing of his Word to just anyone. It was given to holy men of old, under the direction of the Holy Spirit. That is why it is divine. The Bible is "God-breathed” (2 Timothy 3:16), and this essentially means God wrote it. Holy men of old, wrote from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21). That’s why this divinely woven text of nearly three quarters of a million words, is perfect in harmony from start to finish, and contains no contradictions, even though its sixty-six books have forty different authors from different walks of life, is written in three different languages, and took nearly sixteen centuries to complete. How could we possibly have this amazing congruity, if it wasn’t for God guiding the authors’ hands? We could not; it’s that simple. A righteous God would never inspire error. A just God would not call error-filled Scripture “holy and true.” A merciful God would not state that His Word is perfect if it were not, and only an omniscient God could write it so that it is as relevant today, as it was thousands of years ago. It is as up to date as tomorrow's newspaper.
