I Have Something to Say

I am enjoying some free days for my Easter holidays now. This year I am not taking a trip anywhere, and I am really enjoying it. I have my books (Tolkien's Silmarillion is such a great book to get lost in) my walks, my Chinese studies.

Days pass, I don't know which date it is today, or which day of the week, and I really like it. I love the feeling of time as a continuum. Even if I am not fond of the idea of a linear time and see it more like a circle. But that's another story.

Only something is missing. Those of you who know me, you know what it is.

From the photos you post, there must be some very beautiful walks in the area you live.

There are not wild forests here. It is quite a dry area. But I like the fact that nature here is not breathtaking. The sight of an olive tree or some wild flowers growing is enough to make me feel good. I don't need cascades or green pastures.

@Cierzo: Yes, I have noticed that Spain is quite dry apart from its Atlantic coast. Is your area depopulating?
Cierzo · M
@Mugin16: It has never been really populated. It gained population in the last decade due to immigration but now it is slowly starting to depopulate again.

@Cierzo: That is the fate of many rural areas around the world but it is not necessarily a bad one.

@Mugin16: Agree. But I have the feeling this fate may change. Cities are likely to become more insecure

@Cierzo: Yes, I agree. It will be safer to live in the countryside. I think also that people who live in rural areas are in general less stressed and happier.
