Today I am coming to the very rough conclusion that I have been rather naive and comfortable in my ignorance of world conflict.
Today I have accepted that I blindly took the word of leaders who sugar coated and outright lied.
Today I understand that I can no longer do that.
Yesterday I saw some photos that truly and deeply disturbed me.
Not much disturbs me...I look at scary and insane crime scene photos willingly....this was not that.
This was children. Children who were in the middle of a war zone. One child....well you could see his torso and some of his legs ...his head was shredded to pieces.
If this makes you sick to your stomach, It should.
That was a Palestenian child. He and those who died with him were innocent. They spent the time before dying terrified and traumatized.
Fuck the idea that this is justified.
It isn't.
