Our covid slogan is: We Are All In This Together...
But it really should read: We Are All In This Together..Apart.
As the pandemic rages on, and we wrestle with the horrors of injustice, people say "we are all in this together". Its really not accurate.
While its true we humans are ultimately in this life together, its not true we all in this together the same way. While i am in my luxury condo in a fancy neiborhood, i am not experiencing this pandemic the same way a homeless person does, living on the street, struggling with drug addiction. I am not experiencing it the same way as people who lost their jobs and are struggling to pay the rent. This pandemic highlighted the pain and suffering of the poor, and disenfranchised minoroties.
All so very sad!
