I Have Something to Say

PLS HELP (SHORT AS CAN BE) PLZZ REALLY NEED ADVICE. Guy friend avoiding me cause im dating someone? i met him in my new school september and we seem to hit it off great we are really close, and he recently like early october told me he had a thing for me & i jokingly and seriously told him that"bfs come & go but friends are for a long time plus id be way closer to my friends than anyone im dating" so he seemed totally chilled with when i said that and was acting normal all that time, so last week hanging out with my on/off bf he kissed me on my neck and gave me a hickey my friend saw that and just like everyone teases me about it, cool w/e!, next day him & i got back together & i told my guy friend that & he said "congrats" and this was last friday and Saturday he started avoiding me on whatsapp only yesterday he messaged me & his excuse was something i was teasing him about online something totally pointless he stayed away days for which obviously im sure wasnt the reason, & normally after class every wednesday/thursday we hang out , today he told me he'd be hanging out with someone else, should i talk to him about this or wait a little longer? does it seem like he's acting weird? or is it just me? sigh.. thx if u answered!
