Gotta be strong!

Okay, so last night about 11:30 p.m. I called the police. I manage an apartment complex for senior citizens and one of my residents has a son that has some mental issues. I've had to serve her eviction papers last year because she couldn't get him to leave her apartment. When it came down to it he finally moved out..... how? Apparently, his Mom and sister paid for his apartment and utilities somewhere else. But per his pattern, he didn't stand on his own two feet and got evicted.

So for the past several days he and his girlfriend and several dogs and a cat have been staying here and sleeping in his Mom's van in the parking lot (see, he's not ''technically'' living with her if he's in the car, right? ugh).

He approached me a few nights ago and said he felt bad about my husband dying and then made a comment about me being ''hot'' ugh and ewwww...

One night he and his girlfriend were so loud slamming car doors and talking loudly that I came out and told him they needed to leave.

I spoke to his Mom yesterday and told her that he cannot be on the property after 10:00p.m. because that is quiet hours and he cannot seem to be respectful... plus he has no right to be here... he's not a resident.

So, last night I take my dog out and guess who's back? So I went inside and called the police.

Oh, when the cop came the Mom came out to her son's defense screeching about me being a horrible person and that she ought to have the right to have her son there whenever she wants. (um, this is the same gal who said he's stolen her bank card and taken money from her) I was completely shocked by her venom.

The son was saying crazy stuff like he was gonna turn me into the FCC...lol and that I was spying on him with cameras and wires. It was just ridiculous.

The Mom left with her son saying she had to run an errand (at past 11:30 p.m.? Is there anything open with all this Covid19 stuff going around???) of course she told the cop that he HAD to come back to drop her off... slick move granny.

The officer came up to me after talking to them and we arranged for the police to do patroling here for the next two weeks. I called my son and he will stay with me for the next couple of days per my request... I just don't know what their mental state could be... would they try something to me? My vehicle?

Really miss my husband, he wouldn't have called the police... he would have just told him to get the hell out of here. Believe me, my husband can be scary when push comes to shove. (of course I've had my moments too.... I'm very protective of my residents!)
Well done on being so strong and brave - you did a great job of protecting your other residents!!!

I would just let her know in no uncertain terms that you will terminate her lease if she does not comply with the lease by-laws and quiet hours.

You did exactly the right thing and you should be proud of yourself. It is a difficult situation and you handled it well. Well done.

That's so much drama for you to deal with. I'm glad your son will come stay with you.
Stay safe.

you did the right think next time they come over call cops again it depends on what her lease says i think some where there is something about people being a pr0bl3m and turn into trespassers you might as company for advice

if he threatens you take a warrant out on him if the mother keeps it up you dont have much choice but to evict her also let her live with him
@olderuncle944 Sounds like getting rid of her might be the best thing to do...

It's shocking that they did that when rares was only enforcing the rules that they agreed to follow!!! 😡
