Now the big thing is pain killers and cold medicine. This is really getting out of hand.

Yes. No toilet paper, pasta or rice when I went to the shop this morning. Don't panic!

It is. I didn't really believe until I tried to buy toilet paper and a couple groceries because I needed them. I went last night after gym.

No toilet paper. Lots of other things being stockpiled. Scary.

The produce section is just fine though. I got some beautiful strawberries.

Somehow I didn't think it was happening here too or shut my eyes to the reality.

right on the money. People are herd animals and the lemmings head over the cliff at the slightest provocation.

It’s an issue now in cities. There are maps that show patterns of how it is spreading, so think interstates etc.

I’ve seen hoarding before, with hurricanes as a kid.
People get stupid though.

This virus is nothing to take lightly.

The concept of social distancing is a good approach.

The less humans come in contact with one another ..the greater chance the virus will not find another host.

A lot of shortages in UK :( Toilet paper, anti-bacterial surface cleaner, hand-saniters, pasta, pasta sauce...

I had to finally break down and buy a bottle of bleach online. It was $7 with $37 shipping. You can't find a bottle here to save your life. I just want it for laundry. I'm a nurse. You do not need to bleach your house. Bleach is only used in field hospitals that get covered in blood because it kills things like Hepatisis. Do these people have that problem? You can use hydrogen peroxide or even vinegar to clean most germs. No one really knows what kills this stuff. But it is droplet and not blood borne.

There's a lot of people blowing it out of proportion and trying to profiteer on it personally being a Safety and Security person I saw this coming back in January and I stocked up on stuff like pasta pasta sauce stuff that would feed me and my daughter one to two days on each meal just in case there were an emergency I never went out and bought toilet paper because well I buy that at the end of each year November December and I just buy a case of it so I've got enough toilet paper to last me until November December when it's time for me to buy more. I'm not scared of people out there only because I've been in law enforcement know how to protect myself and I'm still in security. I am a lot more cautious going around places paying more attention to what others are doing but that's more for my own safety and others.

Yep here in Kansas schools and everything are still going without being cancelled. But stores are running super low on toilet paper and hand sanitizer.

It’s like a self fulfilling prophecy... once someone says “we could run outta toilet paper” everyone turns into a fucking idiot.

It’s stupid. It’s the same here. I cannot even buy groceries like I use to.. it’s more of a scavenger hunt now.
