As you take a step back, you will find most people will use scientific data (and often biblical references) when it suits them and reinforces their point. The instant it does not, they themselves will dismiss their preferred source of knowledge as trivia and claptrap.

@SoFine I'm familiar. I believe David attenborough is the one who said they were extinct, not actual scientists, who have only labeled them as vulnerable. The issue is their habitat shrinking, which is indisputable, and the impact that will have in their populations when it does happen. Aka, not now as she states.
