Convenience store policies. These are reasonable:

We check ID for lotto, tobacco products, and vaping products.
If you purchase any of these, please be prepared to show ID as often as asked. Provincial law requires this. It is not a customer service issue.

About 3% of the population has difficulty with facial recognition. Verbal or other abuse on this or any other grounds is a violation of our human rights, and it will not be tolerated. Please do not take it personally when you are asked for ID, however many times.

@SW-User Companies getting in trouble with police for not checking ID, and employees getting verbal abuse for checking the same person's ID on more than one separate occasion.

@purplepen Well that's just the law. Unfortunately you can't prevent a*&hats who want to get all worked up about people enforcing the law.
