I Have Something to Say

I called out of work last week because I had a bilateral ear infection and the scheduler picked up the phone and when I told her she sounded sympathetic but this morning someone who was standing in the room when she got the phone call said that she was rolling her eyes and was acting as if she was concerned for me. Then when she hung up she proceeded to tell the person standing in the room that I was “full of shit”. She completely disregarded the fact that I told her that I have a doctors note and then a few hours after that phone call she text me and told me that she hopes I feel better. 🤬🤬🤬 I’m trying not to let this bother me but it is and I can’t stop thinking about it. 😡😡😡😡😡

Take that Doc's note and hold it up to her face and tell her 'NOT full of shit!" It could be a great moment for you

@Fernie I have a temper. Confrontation is not my forte and I try to avoid it at all cost. I’d probably fight her if she looks at me the wrong way but I would definitely do it that way if I could hold myself together.

@LireaSemaji confrontation does NOT have to be unpleasant...you might start practicing defending yourself calmly...a temper can be controlled if you have the maturity. You can smile and quietly show her the note and sweetly tell her you are not full of shit then walk away. That would be a powerful moment for you and an embarrassing one for her.

Hope you can find yourself a better environment to work in soon.

How do you know this other person isn't lying?

@Callmewhatyouwill good point

That is a medical violation that you can complain to HR about.

Human Resources isn’t for employees (it’s unfortunate) designed mainly to protect the company in itself @NativeOregonian
