I Have Something to Say

America seems to be becoming more and more divided over various things like Donald Trump, race, religion, and most recently...abortion. It's sad 🙁.

. . . And really screwing-up things for us in this region, too! I'm stuck between Iran, Saudi and UAE with idiots in the Whitehouse sabre-rattling and carrier groups off the coast, not to mention B52s flying in this week. It's real lives they are playing with . . .

I would argue that currency is a concept; one that can come and go and may be in the virtual world too. Bitcoin is just a blockchain, for example. Currencies have to be underpinned by a commodity that has value and gold is such a commodity. I accept your premise that it's not fundamental but \i would argue that its universal and long-standing (since antiquity) desirability gives it intrinsic value that a currency doesn't have

I have noticed this on here too in the last year or so.

@latinbutterfly I don't understand why people get into those subjects when literally nobody win or even changes their views. They just end up hating and blocking and usually they take extreme points of view or mae sweeping generalisations, so no one is even arguing over things logically. I find it sad 😟. This place can be fun if people just stick to the fun :)

@SW-User It is something to be resisted, so please be aware, the dissension is deliberately created. What we need now is unity. I mean people have to just see we have more in common than not and then fight like hell to preserve the best of what we can for all of us and the whole planet too.

Unity is the idea.

We have everything to lose with too much brokenness.

I don’t want to sound like Trump but I blame both sides.

Where Clinton was “Don’t ask, Don’t tell,” Obama was like “Rainbow Army, bitches!”

While America thought it was making progress, it was brewing discontent.

In the beginning, the religious right was just a bully pulpit. Brainless and hypocritical thugs. They haven’t changed much but they added a component in the last 20 years nobody expected. Blatant mafia style corruption. “You’re part of the Christian family? Good. We protect each other.”

This Christianity is no longer Christlike but it is strong. Ruthless. Fraternal. Powerful. Rich.

Everybody created this. It’s going to take everybody to stop it.
Very true. And I don’t know how we will ever come back from it all.

I think we’ve always been this divided over abortion, it’s just come up because several states have passed unprecedented laws restricting legal access to abortion.
they'll stand together as one when push comes to shove
no worries
@RooiSoosSkarlakenWitSoosSneeu I’m not as sure of that as I once was. Many of us don’t trust anything this president says or does, and he’s proven we can’t. He holds rallies deliberately sowing divisions based on party lines.
@bijouxbroussard I understand
