Our oldest started college last year. We try to Skype with her, it helps.

@SW-User We video chat with her every night and it helps a ton but I still cry my eyes out missing her sometimes! I'm sure it will get better it's only been a week!

I did exactly the same thing for both of my daughters. It gets better over time. Luckily a get to see them often and we text all the time.
