My dog passed a few months ago. I still walk into the house and expect her to greet me and I'm disappointed every time I realize she isn't going to.

Sorry to hear that.
I have a 15 1/2 year old dog with chronic kidney disease and neuromuscular problems, and I’m dreading the day when she will no longer be with us.
It’s always tough losing a beloved family member.

So much horrible crap in this world but you both found each other.
It's the only time when animals hurt us when they die.
Give yourself time to grieve lovely and don't let anyone tell you that you shouldn't be feeling like this.

Sorry you lost your dog. I lost mine to cancer and miss her. I have a picture of her in my bedroom and tell her good night each night before I go to bed.
