I Have Had a Very Difficult Adult Life

Life: Hey, you want to live on your own? That's great. Let me just tell you a few things you'll need. A job and a place to live.
Me: That's fine, not bad.
Life: Hold on let me finish...You'll also want a car which needs insurance and be registered by the DMV.
Me: That's it right?
Life: No.
Me: ...
Life: Well then you need to shop for your own food and clothes when they need to be replaced, oh and gas, can't forget gas. Also you remember that pay check you got?
Me: Yeah...
Life: You can kiss that 100 or more good bye.
Me: What why?
Life: Taxes.
Me: Fine whatever, I got this.

Life: Hey so I understand you're still trying to figure this out and you only have like $25 dollars in your account, but I have just one, tinny tinny, thing left.
Me: WHAT
Life: You noticed that sound in your car? You got to get that fixed.
Me: *Flips table* That's it I want to cancel.
Life: Oh we have a strict no cancel policy, and you're too old to qualify for the financial aid...

Have you heard about the subway and the bus?
londonbr1dge · 26-30, F
@4meAndyou Yeah but they bus doesn't go where I need it to. And theres no subways where I am
4meAndyou · F
@londonbr1dge Bicycle. Bus and bicycle. A lot of people in the Homeless shelter where I used to work got themselves bicycles so that they could work.

If you are living in the suburbs, you might want to get a job in the city and share an apartment with two or three others, (which is what I did when I was 19) so that you can use the subway.
londonbr1dge · 26-30, F
@4meAndyou there are no subways. And I work 40 miles away from where I live.
But it's worth it because I make more than minimum wage.

@Mona86 I started when I was 17. I left my parent's house young.
