I Believe In Quality Not Quantity Of True Friends

I had an argument with a friend and now we're not talking. It's a really sucky feeling. I've reached out to him but he hasn't reached back. When you have someone you can talk to and confide in and then suddenly you don't there's a big hole in your life.

I’d rather have 1 good friend than 100 acquaintances
vetguy1991 · 51-55, M
I'm sorry that happened 😔

I understand I've been through the same thing. I found though a true friend doesn't turn their back on you. I was once told that the definition of a true friend is someone who's there even when you don't need them, and the first one there when you do
I know that absence. It's a shock and lingers for a while.

I agreee, I have a very small circle of close friends

Hey, I know when we first chatted we had a bit of a misunderstanding, but I’d be happy to be someone you can confide in if you’re willing to give me another chance.

Did you and your friend ever connect again after you posted this last April? I certainly hope so as the one thing we can never have enough of is true friends. :)
EagleV · 51-55, M
I hope to chat with you and become a friend ❤️

did he ever return the favor and talk to you again?
Mugin16 · 46-50, M
Are you back on talking terms?

I just had a falling out with my closest and best friend of 38 years. It was my fault; I've apologized. But the dent in our until now perfect friendship remains. I am heartbroken. It feels like this is killing me.

The best way to resolve your issue with your friend is not to mourn the loss of the friendship but understand what you were truly arguing over.

If the time ever comes where you can resolve your problems, this will help you both to grow.

People spend far too much time running from pain and not seeing it as an opportunity to learn.
I can relate to this.

true and very sad.

most people have only a few friends that goes with you in good and bad times. Others come and go

Just like a pothole. It might take a while , but eventually they get around to patching it.
That's happened with me before, too.
It's a bad feeling.
MrGoodbar · 51-55, M
hopefully he will come around soon and you 2 will talk again soon
I truly know how that feels it's not a good feeling
wunderluv · 51-55, M
I know exactly what you mean believe me!

Big holes like that take a long time to heal. 😞
I agree and I have had it happen to me
Dadbod52 · 56-60, M
There are more friends to be found.
Danny2591 · 31-35, M
Oh no! Well, I would like to meet new friends, if you are interested that is! And you seem to be a very nice person! I sent you a DM in the past it seems, but I can´t message you anymore since it has a 2-message limit until you answer. ^^"

I just wanna cheer you up again!
Quality over quantity in all things

Relatable
So sorry
Huckleberry42 · 41-45, M
Yes 100% agreed. It hurts.
Quality in all things.
Better is just better
Rather a few good ones, than a crowd of minions.

(tho they CAN be useful)

What actually happened, talk in private if it helps
BigGuy2 · 26-30, M
Give it a few days, then both of you can talk sensibly
