Today I’ve realised that no matter how many friends you have, only a handful of them are genuine.

I also decided it was time to distance myself from one of my friends. I don’t want to be friends with someone who doesn’t care enough about friendship.

I can understand your situation. Lately I have had the same experience with one of my friends. I feel like I have tried one too many times to ignore her silly temper tantrums and childish mind games, its time to get her loose. At my age I have learned that life is too short to wait for someone to "act" right.
