I Write Dark Poetry
The fading whispers within my ears I no longer hear,
Just raindrops falling down from my saddened eyes like fragile tears,
The waning memories bring happiness yet also a numbing pain which occasionally seers,
The echoes of your promises are drifting deep behind the fading light,
Moonbeams cover up everything within the still of the night, the dimness has overcome the bright and the willingness to fight,
Indifference is the result of those of us dearth of wisdom and sight,
Your heart I no longer feel, just nothing seems right,
A shattered connection beyond protection, left behind by both souls free election,
Nothing left but introspection, two souls drifting apart in opposite and different directions,
Left to ride alone in a desert where everything looks the same,
Forever hungry and thirsty surrounded by pain,
Unfortunately there is nothing here to cause this to change, tomorrow is forever, forever the same...
