I Am An EP Refugee

So disappointed on this site. On EP had friends in several countries I talked to often. Here it's a cardinal sin to send a pm or you will be blocked. No good reason to stay on here

I think there was a better community feel on EP, with like-minded folk talking to one another.

I just look to see. I wish EP hadn't gone since it was so much more genuine than this site. I met people on there that I will never hear from again and seriously wish it hadn't left

@MarkPaul: I was nearly going to say the same thing to the OP, not as well. But when I left EP it was becoming a real mess. it seemed to be more about men pretending to be women to get their jollies. The people who were genuine were few and far between and even they were getting guarded and jaded with the place..there were some great people. But thats what i remember it turning into

@Bushmanoz: Yeah, so true. And here, they genuinely seem to be interested in making continuous improvements. At EP, it just seemed like they kept taking away functionality - which is understandable since they ultimately did go away. But, any site is mainly based on the quality of interaction. So, if someone doesn't like the interaction they are getting, they should first look at the quality they are giving.

I know I'm female so I can pm pretty easily. That being said. It fluctuates. Sometimes there's some nice connections, other times I feel pretty isolated. I just kind of wonder around and try to find new topics and people to interact with.

But females rarely PM, I know some women find it annoying, but not everyone wants to tell the world everything, so we send Pms, I was on EP for years, I think I had maybe 5 pms from women, and only one of those was an actual woman

@Archiesgirl: You might be the exception to the rule, good for you. And yeah, the actual women thing is funny to experience too. I don't really get it, but what ever floats their boat

Im not sure what you are saying in Pms that get you blocked but ive found most people will at least reply, you must know from EP you won't be everyones cup of tea, but plenty of people will become friends, just give it a chance.
