I Hate Slow Internet

A major upgrade is planned for the UK :) By 2030 it should be up to the same standard as a third World country. We'll be able to join the 20th century at last! 🍻

Don't hold your breath. I expect the nation will still be buffering into the 30s if the diesel fumes don't kill us first!

@Ironicman The Government want us to all switch to electric vehicles. A litre of fuel (petrol or diesel) is roughly equivalent to 10kWh of electricity. The national grid will need some serious upgrading to handle the load when we do.

Broken Britain. I'm doing my bit and using my legs by walking and cycling to work etc. If we can try and ditch the cars (petrol or electric) for unnecessary local trips, we're on the right path.

The future is eBikes. They use a fraction of the electricity and you still put in a bit of human effort. Keeps the heart pumping and improves your physical and mental health.

@ili1981 I don't think there is a standard, speeds vary over the UK. I've heard of speeds as low as 1Mbs in some places. Not everyone can even access broadband. :(
