@Rolexeo And he just started working again. He's been on a hiatus for more then a year and finished the last volume a couple of weeks ago.

Well, some things just don't end, just like "Dune". But even without an ending... If you like dark fantasy and you haven't read Berserk you are seriously missing out.

@Kwek00 Maybe he knows how he wants the story to end and wrote notes just in-case so someone else could see it through. Still tragic though

@Rolexeo yeah, that level of artwork... not a lot of people can do that. I'm not sure if annyone in Japan dares to take up this mantle though. This thing is still named in the top 3 manga in pretty much every list you find out there.

Whoa. Looked it up. He started it in '89. The same year I was born. That's a lifetime. How dedicated and attached to the series he was @Kwek00

@SW-User He was only 54 when he died. But really Asmae, if you like dark fantasy epics... then this is top of the bill stuff. If you haven't read this, you are missing out. And the artwork is just incredible after a few episodes. He needs to get into it at first... but wow.
