I Berserk

I watched the 1996-1997, Berserk series a couple of years ago because said: "you should really watch this". I thought nothing could beat Cowboy Bebop for me at that time. I also loved how deep Neon Genesis evangelion went. The long series of Full Metal Alchemist was 3th on my list of favourites. I've seen a lot of other stuff too, I'm not super big in anime but I've seen quite a few. But after seeing Bersekr I went ๐Ÿ˜ณ. So I watched it again... and still went ๐Ÿ˜ณ.

Then I watched the 3 movies from the Golden Arc, and altough I really dislike the animation in comparisson to the 90s series, at least it had an ending. And the ending still made me go ๐Ÿ˜ณ.

So later on I started watching the 2016-2017 episodes, which were awfull animation wise. And the floodgates of criticism on the internet gave it a big thumbs down... but for me, the story (not the aesthetics) were still mind boggling.

I never really wanted to invest in the softcover manga. But thanks to Dark Horse comics, they are releasing them all in an incredible set. The books look incredible and they are extremely fancy to look at when they are on the shelf. There are only 2 so far, the 3th will come out in november. I actually can't wait. I read both of them twice already, because it just keeps getting better. It's like this strange story that plays out like Conan the Barbarian except it's written by a Philosophy teacher. And the artwork is just mindboggling. It's actually the 2nd manga I ever read, so I can't really say much about the quality... But I can say that I love it so far. I can only compare to the European comics that I read and the american ones (mostly Batman). But this series,... what an incredible character development and what a lively artwork that comes with it all. Just incredible, it's really rich.

So if you ever are looking for something, this is something I can recommend. ๐Ÿค—
