I Hate Being Lied to
I try and tell my kids the same thing my parents told my siblings and I, that if they do something bad, the punishment won't be as bad if they just be honest about it.

Lol that sounds like my parents.
The problem was at times it simply wasn't true lol...
My dad was pretty good depending on the reasons and/or results. My mom only saw the negative action lol, and when she tried holding she self back it was even worse...
Because if she got it all out, things could go back to normal quicker, where if she tried holding it in, it was like a slow building volcano, huffing, puffing and building until something set off the explosion
