I Hate Being Lied to

Lies hurt...
I found out my ex best friend told everyone I was gay and lied to me and said she didn't. If you are someone I hold dear in my heart I could never lie to you. I have the right to be upset when someone lies and I can no longer trust them.

What could be the underlying reason? If she can't have you no one will? Could she have feelings for you? If she asked for forgiveness would you consider forgiving her? She has to earn your trust back of course. I guess I say this because my best friend knows me better than anyone and accepts me for who I am and I do the same.
