The second amendment is about a well regulated militia meant to keep the country safe from all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Article 1, Section 8, Caluses 15 and 16 of the US Constitution:

To provide for calling forth the militia to execute the laws of the union, suppress insurrections and repel invasions;

To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the militia, and for governing such part of them as may be employed in the service of the United States, reserving to the states respectively, the appointment of the officers, and the authority of training the militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;

But because so many states could not afford to arm and properly train their individual militias, the Militia Act of 1903 was enacted by US Congress, and signed by Republican US President Theodore Roosevelt, to create the National Guard and put the reglations, arming, and training, under the US Army.

If so why are more people shot dead in the USA a civilised haha country than in any other country in the world?!
